Metro 2 compliance condition code XE: closed by consumer, dispute investigated, consumer disagrees
You closed the account yourself, the furnisher finished investigating your Fair Credit Reporting Act dispute, and you still disagree with the result. It's the consumer-closed version of XC, combining the closure and the unresolved disagreement into one code because the field carries only one at a time.
How it shows on your report
A consumer-closed remark plus a remark that you disagree with the dispute result.
How it affects your score
Same considerations as other dispute flags.
What to check
If you no longer want the disagreement remark, ask the furnisher to replace it with the plain consumer-closed code. Confirm the closing reason is accurate too: if the lender closed the account, a consumer-closed code is wrong. Some mortgage lenders ask for dispute remarks to be resolved before closing.
