Metro 2 payment rating code 0: current when the status was reported
When the account's status describes an ending, such as transferred, paid or closed, deed in lieu or foreclosure, this rating says the account was current, meaning fewer than 30 days past due at that moment. Lenders also send the rating with other statuses, where it should simply agree with them.
How it shows on your report
Rarely shown as its own field. It shapes how a closed account's final status reads and the last month in the payment grid.
How it affects your score
Neutral to positive.
What to check
If you paid off, refinanced or transferred a loan on time, the final rating should be current. A late rating on an account you paid off early or refinanced while current is worth disputing, with your payoff letter as proof.
