Payment history profile characters
Metro 2 payment history profile character B: no history before this point
There is no payment history for this month and earlier, usually because the account wasn't open yet or the lender has no history to send for that period. Lenders pad the older end of the 24-month string with this character rather than leaving gaps, so a new account shows mostly B.
How it shows on your report
Blank boxes, dashes or no entry for months before the account opened.
How it affects your score
None. It isn't a late payment.
What to check
B months should line up with the period before the open date. If B months appear after the account opened, the lender may have reported no history for that stretch, which makes a later late harder to check. Keep your own statements for those months.
