Metro 2 account status code 64: paid in full, was a charge-off
The lender wrote the account off as a loss at some point, and the balance was later paid in full. The charge-off remains part of the history; the status just records that the money was eventually paid. It's the paid version of status 97 and takes its place once nothing more is owed to the lender reporting it.
How it shows on your report
"Paid charge-off" or "Paid, was a charge-off," with a $0 balance.
How it affects your score
Still a major negative, since the charge-off is what scoring models and lenders react to. Paying it can matter to a lender reviewing your file by hand.
What to check
Balance and past due should be zero. If you paid less than the full amount, the record should say so (special comment AU) rather than "paid in full." The date of first delinquency should not move later after payment, and the item should still drop off on its original schedule.
