Metro 2 special comment code AS: closed due to refinance
The account was closed because you refinanced it into a new loan, either with the same lender or a different one. It's a routine reason for closing an account. The old loan closes with nothing owed, and the new loan starts its own tradeline and payment history from the date it opened.
How it shows on your report
A remark like "Closed due to refinance" or "Refinanced."
How it affects your score
Neutral. The old loan closes and the new loan starts its own history.
What to check
The old loan should show $0 owed and a paid or closed status. If it still shows a balance or a late in the payoff month, compare it with the payoff statement from the refinance.
