Metro 2 special comment code CP: account in forbearance
The lender has temporarily reduced or paused your payments under a forbearance agreement. Lenders used it widely during the COVID-19 pandemic. Paused payments usually still have to be repaid later or added to the loan under a separate agreement. This describes a temporary condition, so it should drop off once the forbearance ends.
How it shows on your report
A remark like "Account in forbearance" or "Forbearance."
How it affects your score
The remark isn't a late payment. Mortgage lenders may ask about recent forbearance during underwriting.
What to check
Months covered by an approved forbearance shouldn't show lates if you met its terms. When the forbearance ends, the remark should come off and the status should reflect your actual payments.
