Metro 2 special comment code CS: child support agency account
Used only by child support agencies when they report a delinquent or collection account for unpaid support. It identifies the source of the debt rather than producing a printed remark. State agencies report past-due support to the bureaus as part of child support enforcement, so this is how those accounts are marked.
Sources describe this code with some variation. Public documentation doesn't agree on every detail of how special comment code CS is used, so treat this as a general explanation. If it's on your report, the company that reported it can tell you exactly what it meant.
How it shows on your report
Often no remark prints. The account appears as reported by a child support agency.
How it affects your score
Delinquent child support reported to the bureaus is a serious negative.
What to check
The amount should match your agency's records, and payments you made through the state disbursement unit should be credited. If the obligation is paid or current, the account should show that.
