Metro 2 special comment code AV: first payment never received
The lender never received the first payment on the account. Furnisher documentation describes it as a possible sign of fraud, since an account opened by an identity thief typically never gets a payment. It can also appear when a real borrower simply never made that first payment.
How it shows on your report
A remark like "First payment never received."
How it affects your score
Any delinquency from the missed payments counts as negative.
What to check
If you never opened the account, this is a strong sign of identity theft. Get an identity theft report and use the FCRA's identity theft block. If it's yours and the first payment was made, show proof.
