Metro 2 special comment code B: payments managed by a counseling program
Your payments on this account are being handled through a financial or credit counseling program, such as a debt management plan. The plan usually collects one monthly payment from you and pays each creditor. This describes a temporary condition, so it should drop off once the arrangement ends.
How it shows on your report
A remark like "Payments managed by financial counseling program."
How it affects your score
The remark isn't known to be scored as a negative. The status and payment history still count, and lenders reviewing your file by hand may ask about it.
What to check
Once you finish or leave the plan, the remark should come off. Check that payments the counseling agency made on time aren't reported as late; if the agency paid late, keep its records to sort out who's responsible.
